Respect for intellectual property

Steward respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Steward is a tool users use to organize and manage their own playlist sources and links. It does not host or supply media libraries, channels, streams, or media subscriptions.

Designated Copyright Agent

Submitting a takedown notice

A valid notice must be a written communication that includes all of the following:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if the notice covers multiple works.
• Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, together with enough information for us to locate it.
• Contact information for the complainant, including a mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that the complainant has a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complainant is the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Counter-notification

If material associated with your account is removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe that action resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to hello@choosesteward.com. It must include all of the following:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal or disabling.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or any federal district court where Steward may be found if your address is outside the United States, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent.

Repeat infringers

Steward terminates accounts that repeatedly infringe copyrights in appropriate circumstances.
